Dustin Porier vs Conor McGregor 3 is almost a done deal.
Reports stated that Poirier has signed his part of the fight agreement for a rematch with McGregor expected to take place at UFC 264 on July 10.
McGregor himself confirmed this by announcing "the fight is booked" on Instagram account on Saturday.
While the former champion didn't confirm who he was fighting, he also said the date of the fight was July 10, which points strongly to the Poirier rematch.
Poirier vs McGregor halfway done
The details aren't clear yet as to where the fight will be held. The promotion is targeting T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas according to UFC president Dana White.
The first fight happened at UFC 178 in 2014 where McGregor beat Poirier via first round TKO . Poirier avenged that loss with a second-round TKO at UFC 257 in Abu Dhabi last January.
Many thought Poirier would go for double champ status and attempt to claim the lightweight title, which was vacated by Khabib Nurmagomedov upon retirement.
Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira will fight for that belt instead next month at UFC 262.
