Giga Chikadze (14-2 MMA, 7-0 UFC) is an unbeaten and tough UFC contender. He has been on the top spot after he won two straight fights against Cub Swanson and Edson Barbosa. Now, he wants to keep his winning streak as he spoke about his desire to fight against Max Holloway or the winner of this Saturday’s featherweight title fight - Alexander Volkanovski vs.Brian Ortega.
Is Chikadze Ready for the Title?
“I believe Max needs to fight me to go to the title shot next time,” Chikadze told Submission Radio. “No one really wants to see Max and Alex fight again and again and again. I’m the new dog in the division, and I’ll be proving with my kicks and punches that I’m the real deal. I don’t talk without no reason. I’m not a dreamer. When I say I’m gonna knock people out, I knock people out. So, I believe I deserve this fight since Max was already scheduled (to fight Yair) before this fight. Now it’s time for me to get into a big fight like Max. I’m ready to do it.”According to 'Blessed,' a rematch with Max Holloway would be perfect if he wants to compete for the UFC championship once again.
Holloway (22-6 MMA, 18-6 UFC) has an important fight scheduled in November against Yair Rodriguez but Chikadze is serious about winning the fight against the former champion and has even guaranteed that Holloway will walk away with crutches as the fight ends.

Even though Chikadze is aware that Holloway is a champion, he sure is confident that he can definitely defeat him. “I think Max would be an even easier fight for me. I know Max's weakness more. I didn’t really study much Alex. I mean, he’s such a short fighter, I’m gonna have a lot of advantages.This is what I believe. I know a lot of people are gonna say this and that, but I think that’s a great matchup for me.” Chikadze said and assured everyone that people want this fight and he’s getting them hyped for the battle.
Acknowledging Holloway’s reputation, Chikadze is now ready to go through the fight that he deserves in order to complete his win streak.
