Houston always has a problem. Petty crimes often happen in the area but one car thief picked an unfortunate moment.
Too bad for the said car thief because he chose to rob the wrong car. It happens to be UFC heavyweight contender Derrick Lewis' car he chose.
Lewis stops car thief
Lewis took to his Instagram account to post the ordeal."Mofo pick right/wrong car to break into," he said as he posted a picture of the man being put into a police car.
Lewis also posted a picture of his knuckles which was obviously used in defense as it showed bruising.
The UFC heavyweight was returning to his car after his workout when he heard commotion coming from where he was parked.
It is where he found the alleged thief making an attempt to open the door with a screwdriver.
What happened next?
Lewis admitted he went over to the suspect and struck him and neutralized the alleged thief before police arrived.
It didn't end well for the car thief as he experienced the wrath of one of the UFC's most feared strikers.
He was reportedly taken to the hospital for treatment before being booked on a charge of criminal mischief.
