Jon Jones Stipe Miocic

Jon Jones isn't interested in a potential super fight. He just shut down
UFC president Dana White’s idea of a potential fight with former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.

The former UFC light heavyweight champion is more keen on facing current heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou for his heavyweight debut.

White first brought up the idea of a potential clash with Miocic during his Monday media rounds ahead of Saturday’s UFC 262 event in Houston.

Jones responded to White's comments regarding the matter. He took to Twitter to say that

His comments apparently got back to Jones, who took to Twitter to outright say in a deleted tweet that it’s not going to happen.

"Don’t get excited people, I’m not fighting Stipe." Jones said in the deleted Tweet.

He said that he's willing to wait for the biggest draw.

Will Jones vs Miocic happen?

Jones said that he’s willing to defend his belt against Miocic but he's looking for the biggest draw at the moment.

"I’m willing to wait. 33 years old in better athlete right now than I’ve ever been before.. im just going to keep training my ass off," Jones explained.

It will be remembered that Jones clashed with the UFC brass over pay. He feels that his draw is enough to command a larger guaranteed purse..

Right now, current heavyweight champion Ngannou is still occupied with his first heavyweight title defense in a rematch with Derrick Lewis
