Tyson Fury Calls UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou 'Easy Work'

Tyson Fury wouldn't take things sitting on his throne. Especially when it's UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou who's making the comments.

Ngannou has been vocal about potentially fighting Fury. He's shown huge interest in a cross-promoted bout.

“Absolutely, I’m open to that. Remember: Boxing was my primary dream, and I still have the fire, the dream inside me, and I believe at some point I’m gonna make a step," Ngannou said.

“I don’t want to fight Mike Tyson, but I would like to fight another heavyweight boxer such as Tyson Fury,” he added.

Fury responds

The WBC and lineal boxing champion gave his response to the UFC heavyweight champion's comments via Twitter saying:

“@Mike Tyson, after I smash Anthony Joshua, I’ll roast that guy also. Francis Ngannou easy work."

Ngannou fires back

The UFC champ was quick to respond with a tweet of his own. Ngannou tweeted a photo of Fury bleeding after his bout with Otto Wallin in September 2019 with the caption:

"If this guy did this to you, what do you think I would do?"

It is interesting to note too that the heavy-handed Ngannou hasn't fought in a pro boxing bout yet but always wanted to do so.

Will this fight finally happen?

Both heavyweights have business of their own. Ngannou is coming off a knockout win over Stipe Miocic at UFC 260 to claim the UFC heavyweight title.

The Cameroonian has potential opponents waiting in line for his
first title defense. Derrick Lewis is said to be next in line but is not eliminating the possibility of facing Jon Jones in a heavyweight super fight.

Fury, on the other hand, is expected to face WBO, WBA, IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua later this year.
