Detroit Pistons forward Christian Wood is the latest NBA player to test positive for coronavirus.

Wood was tested for
COVID-19 where results came back positive on March 14. He is being taken care of by Pistons medical staff and has been in self-isolation since Wednesday night.

All NBA players who tested positive for COVID-19 where in close contact to Utah Jazz’s Rudy Gobert, who is the alleged source of the virus in the league.

Gobert's teammate Donovan Mitchell also tested positive.

Wood is the first non-Jazz player to test positive for coronavirus. Possible reason is the Pistons vs Jazz game last March 7. Wood scored 30 points and 11 rebounds in that game as he was matched against Gobert.

It is not known how Wood contracted the virus, but the Pistons have played the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers since playing the Jazz.

Wood was having a good stretch after scoring 32 points against the Philadelphia 76ers four nights after the Jazz game.

Unfortunately, Wood will have to focus on recovery for the time being.

Will Christian Wood get back in top form prior to the diagnosis? Will he be the same after? Leave a comment and let us know your thoughts.
